Vasoconstrictor

Herbs with a vasoconstrictor action narrow or constrict blood vessels, which slows blood flow and can result in an increase in blood pressure. These include witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana), horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) and ephedra (Ephedra sinica).
